Welcome to my first blog! Yikes... I finally did it. Something that has been on my heart for some time now, and finally taking that first step. My hopes are that you will enjoy this time, find it relatable, grow into the person you are called to and realize your not along in this great big world.
Why did I wait so long? Do you ever feel like you have to do and be a part of a million things as a woman? As women, we wear many hats as it is, and sometimes we just keep stacking those hats on each other with out being intentional about that one had we are wearing at that one moment. Sound familiar? So many roles, so much to do, spread so thin, but not intentional about any of it. Oh yes, I am and have been there. However, the older I get, the more I realize the importance of intentionality, focus, minimizing, and resting in what I am called to do that day. Has it been easy? Oh by all means absolutely not! Do I have it figured out ? No way, not yet anyway. Am I working toward better options for my self, my health, and my family....absolutely. Here are some ideas:
- What is the most important thing I need to do this minute, this hour, this day?
-Maybe it is spending time with the Lord first and foremost, being intentional about giving him your time since He gives you your daily bread, just a thought.
-Maybe it's praying with your family before they head out the door.
-Maybe a sticky note to tell someone you love them.
-Maybe saying no to the tasks you think you have to do because no else will. (That is a whole other topic)
- What can I miminize in my life at this time?
-Side gigs
-Volunteering
-Being lazy and procrastinating
- How can I be the best at what I have placed in front of me today?
-Work
-Family
-Being present for whomever
-Or maybe something completely different
The list goes on and on. So much to share but don't want to bore you on the first day. Join me again soon. Take off all those hats and wear one at a time, be intentional.
Stay cute!
Trudie
